Description

NGC-891 an Edge on Spiral Galaxy in Andromeda Photo, it is located about 30 million light years away. This is one of my favorite Edge on Galaxies!!! Also the little background galaxies are cool to see as well!!!
One of my fondest memories of visually viewing this galaxy was in a Meadow at 11,400 feet altitude just south of Copper Mountain, Colorado in 1997. I was there for the Astronomical Leagues 50th anniversary Convention & the skies were pristine!!!
I captured this 250 minute exposure over two night 120 minute on 08-25-12 and 130 minutes on 09-07-2013 from my observatories in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
