Description

Pelican Nebula Complex

A close-up of the Pelican Nebula Complex…lots of detail here!!

IC-5070 The Pelican Nebula an H II region, is part of the Larger North America Nebula Complex in the constellation Cygnus.
This Massive stellar Nursery or Star formation region has lots of dark molecular clouds, and is located 1,800 light years from Earth.
The large thin appendage sticking up from that dusty mound is supposed to be the top bill of the Pelican, and the bottom of the bill is on the Mound.

I still think the blue background resembles a Fox or deer head, this took me 360 minutes or 6 hours of exposure time from my backyard in Dayton, Ohio.
ZWO 174MM & 6″ Diameter Newt. on the nights 09-27-2018 & 09-30-2018.
