The remnant left over after this star went Supernova back in 1054 A.D. , The resulting crab nebula with Pulsar is at its center.
My best & most detailed Narrow Band Shot of M1 The Crab Nebula to date, Imaging in Narrow Band – the isolated wavelengths of Sulfur II, Hydrogen Alpha, & Oxygen III for a total of 5 hours and 10 minutes. ZWO 174MM cooled Cmos Camera & 6 inch diameter Newt. scope, taken over 3 nights from my backyard observatory in Dayton, Ohio.
