The Planet Jupiter Last night, although Earth’s  atmospheric seeing was rather poor, I noticed another Large Red Spot on Jupiter!!! The Great Red Spot (GRS) has been there for centuries, but It looks like Red Spot Junior (RSJ a smaller spot) is growing larger. In this Image the original GRS is on the lower left Limb, but the new one (RSJ to the right of the GRS) seems to be getting as large as the GRS. It always amazes me that we can see so much detail on Jupiter, which by the way is ~ 500 million miles away!!!!
